A Jaguar E-Type is possibly the most stylish way to go racing
When looking for a Jaguar E-type for Classic Grid we stumbled upon the website of the Russo Baltic Racing Team. Their 1968 Jaguar E-Type just looks amazing and we are sure it drives even better.The RBR started as a professional racing team for historic events and today they also offer to rent (with full technical support and accompanying mechanics) one of their Jaguars to take part in historic events.åÊThe Jaguar E-typeåÊVS1968 in recent years took part in several events across Europe: 4 Rallies Monte-Carlo Historique, Targa Florio, Nurburgring 24 hours, 2 Rallye des Princesses, GranPremio Terre di Canossa, 2 Rallye de Paris, Trophe en Corse.
The Jag was acquired in the UK and then fully prepared by RBR in their Latvia Workshop. The engine was fully rebuild and a safety rool cage was added. Other modifications to make it suitable for historic racing and a FIA passport are extra deep lamps, racing brakes, an improved cooling sistem and the åÊcomunication equiment. The color was also changed from silver to the racy red chosen by RBR as their team color. The RBR team participates every year at several events and we hope to have the opportunity to see them in action at some point in 2014.
